Milica Kovačević Filipović, DVM, PhD, is a Professor at the Department of Pathophysiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia. She is the Head of the Laboratory for Clinical Hematology and Biochemistry at the same faculty. Her research has primarily focused on hematopoietic and mesenchymal stem cells; however, through clinical case studies, she has expanded her work to investigate systemic inflammation and vector-borne diseases in dogs and cats.
She has served as the principal investigator on several research projects and is the author of over 70 scientific papers, as well as numerous lectures and presentations at international and national conferences. She is a member of the Editorial Boards of Acta Veterinaria Belgrade and Veterinarski Glasnik. Professor Kovačević Filipović chaired the Organizing Committee of the International Congress of Veterinary Immunologists (2021), held online from Belgrade under the auspices of the International Group for Veterinary Immunology. She has also chaired or participated as a member of organizing committees for various international and national conferences, seminars, and educational events.
