Dr. Stella de Faria Valle is an Associate Professor at the Department of Veterinary Clinical Pathology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil. She holds a DVM (1998) in veterinary medicine at UFRGS, MSc (2002), and PhD (2011) in Veterinary Sciences at UFRGS.
From 2003 to 2012, she was Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology and Small Animal Medicine at the Universidade de Passo Fundo (Brazil). Her academic and research activities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in veterinary clinical pathology, with a focus on hematology, hematopathology, and cytology. She coordinates the Veterinary Clinical Analysis Laboratory (LACVETUFRGS), the Veterinary Clinical Pathology Residency Program, and the Postgraduate Specialization in Veterinary Clinical Pathology. She supervises Master and PhD students in veterinary clinical pathology. Since 2021, she has been the President and a founding member of the Brazilian Association of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ABPCV). During her career, she was a visiting scholar at Purdue University (in 2007 and 2011) and at Cornell University (in 2022), where she enhanced her teaching and research skills.
