
Flavio H. Alonso

Dr. Flavio H. Alonso is a board-certified veterinary clinical pathologist (ACVP) with extensive expertise in diagnostic pathology and academia. He earned his DVM from the Universidade de Brasilia (2012) and a doctorate degree from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2018), where he developed a novel regression model based on chemistry parameters obtained from body fluid samples for classifying cavitary effusions. He completed a residency at UC Davis (2021) and has worked in private labs, including TECSA (Brazil) and Zoetis (USA). Dr. Alonso has held academic roles as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the Animal Diagnostic Lab at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
